Energy Shrine
A shrine dedicated to the miracles of potential and kinetic energy references news worthy events of nearby Con Edison power plant. Energy Shrine invokes multiple forms of energy-- healing energy, spiritual energy and the conventional forms such as mechanical, chemical, gravitational, nuclear, electrical, heat, light and sound. The location, with proximity to the Con Edison plant, gives an opportunity to examine the positive and negative results of energy, that which is used and that, which is abused.
Monday-Sunday, October 3-10. Live multimedia performance Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 at 7pm.
Shrine Installation is located at 208 E 14th Street.
